KARLSTAD, Sweden - Daniel Sordo of Spain has won the prologue of the Swedish Rally, beating Sebastian Ogier of France by 2 seconds.
Mikko Hirvonen of Finland was third and French world champion Sebastien Loeb finished fourth, 2.3 seconds behind Sordo on a horse-trotting track in Karlstad.
Former world champion Petter Solberg of Norway fell behind by more than 18 seconds after swerving off the track in a heat against his brother, Henning Solberg.
Former Formula One champion Kimi Raikkonen of Finland finished eighth, 5.1 seconds back.
