Kiwi Indycars star and current series leader Scott Dixon has been linked to an off-season move away from the Chip Ganassi Racing outfit with whom he has won the Indianapolis 500 and four championships.
The 37-year-old has been identified as a target of McLaren, who are set to join the Indycar series next season.
Dixon is off-contract with Chip Ganassi and has ties to McLaren through a relationship with team boss Zak Brown.
"We constantly talk to other people, but it's not in a situation where we are shopping around or looking to move," Dixon told Autoweek.
"I have known Zak since 1999, when he was running 'Track Attack,' so I have known the guy for a long time.
