KEY POINTS:
New Zealand V8 Supercars driver Paul Radisich has taken second place along with Australian Rick Kelly in their Toll HSV Holden at the Sandown endurance event in Melbourne.
The race was won by the Team Vodafone duo of Craig Lowndes and Jamie Whincup.
Radisich says the day went very well, but they could never keep up with Lowndes'; faster Ford.
He says everything went according to plan for them, and he did the first 60 laps before handing the car to Kelly in first position.
Toll teammate and fellow New Zealander Craig Baird finished fourth in combination with Garth Tander, the Matt Halliday/Mark Winterbottom combination was 8th.
The all-New Zealand Tasman Motorsport team of Greg Murphy and Jason Richards was 14th, while Team Kiwi Racing, with Shane van Gisbergen and John McIntyre at the wheel, was last of the cars that did get to to the finish.
In all, 11 cars failed to go the distance.
The next round of the V8 Supercars championship is the Great Race at Bathurst, which is in three weeks.
