Scott Dixon has finished fifth in Indycar's latest race in Detroit.
The Kiwi driver has crossed the line three seconds behind Australian Will Power, who won the 70 lap race.
Simon Pagenaud was second on the podium, with Ryan Hunter-Reay third.
Dixon was bumped on the opening lap and dropped a couple of spots and then had contact with Juan Pablo Montoya midway through the race that resulted in both cars needing to pit to fix the damage.
