Kiwi IndyCar driver Scott Dixon has put together a decent performance in qualifying for the season-opening round on the streets of St Petersburg,
The defending series champion has qualified fifth fastest for tomorrow's race in Florida, with Australia's Will Power taking pole position.
Power broke his own track record three times but he has downplayed the qualifying session, instead praising his Penske team for repairing his car after he wrecked it on Friday.
