The 94th edition of the famous Pikes Peak International Hill Climb started Tuesday with the technical inspection at the Colorado Springs base.
Nine-time winner Nobuhiro "Monster" Tajima with his Team APEV Monster Sport entry will head into the event as the favourite alongside Rhys Millen - son of legendary Kiwi driver Rod Millen.
Official practice begins Wednesday with qualifying Thursday-Saturday, set-up day Sunday and race day on Monday.
