Hayden Paddon's turned into the ultimate asset for Rally New Zealand.
Paddon has provided a major boost to the campaign for a return to the WRC calendar, with his victory in the Argentina event at the weekend.
Rally New Zealand chairman Peter Johnston says Paddon's already done a lot for the cause.
He says they're a long way down the track in their campaign with Paddon constantly in the ear of the promoter.
Johnston says the aim is to return to the WRC in 2018, but with Rally Australia currently having a few issues 2017 is not out of the question.
