Hyundai driver Hayden Paddon's finished 10th in the opening special stage of Rally Spain.
The Kiwi WRC driver has finished 6.1 seconds down on stage winner Ott Tanak.
The first full day of the rally is overnight tonight.
Spain is a multi surface event - combining both tarmac and gravel roads.
Paddon is fourth in the championship.
