Out of favour rally driver Mads Ostberg insists he will be competing in the WRC in 2017.
The Norweigian returned to M-Sport Ford this season and had a consistent without spectacular year.
But with Volkswagen's demise M-Sport signed four-time world champion Sebastien Ogier to partner Estonian Ott Tanak for next year, leaving Ostberg looking for a contract.
The 29-year-old took to his Facebook page to confirm he will have a drive when the season opens in Monte Carlo next month.
"To all of you waiting in excitement for me to announce my 2017 plans; I can confirm that I have a drive for next year's WRC in a 2017 spec car," he wrote. "I plan to drive most of the WRC events, but I also have ambitions to drive selected rallies outside the WRC, like I did last year.
"There are still some details remaining before I can present you with the complete programme for next year. I will keep you posted."
