Hayden Paddon's Hyundai teammate Thierry Neuville has continued his hot pace to set the fastest time in Rally Mexico's pre-event shakedown on Thursday.
Neuville set a time of 3:45.8s on the short 5.31km-long Llano Grande stage - 1.7s faster than four-time world champion Sebastien Ogier's M-Sport Ford.
Citroen's Kris Meeke was third fastest and current championship leader Jari-Matti Latvala fourth in his Toyota.
Kiwi Paddon set the fifth quickest time 2.8s slower than his teammate.
The event gets under way tomorrow with a super special stage in Zócalo square in the heart of Mexico City.
