New Zealand driver Greg Murphy made it two from two when he won the second race in the V8 International Supercar series at Pukekohe in Auckland today.
The Super Cheap Auto Holden driver, who won the first race yesterday, took the lead on the fifth lap and was never headed in the 50-lap, 140km race.
Chasing his fourth overall meeting win in five years on his home track, Murphy had an anxious moment on the final lap when he slid wide on turn three, but recovered to hold off Russell Ingall in a Stone Brothers Racing Ford.
Defending champion Marcos Ambrose (Pirtek Ford) finished third ahead of five-time V8 Supercar champion Mark Skaife (Holden Racing Team).
Craig Lowndes (Betta Electrical Ford) finished fifth ahead of Paul Radisich (Team Kiwi Racing Holden).
There were a number of incidents, including a spectacular roll by Brad Jones in the BOC Ford, bringing out the safety car for seven laps.
