Motorsport: Murphy to take place in second race

New Zealand's Greg Murphy will take his place on the grid for today's second race of the V8 Supercars series at Pukekohe Park raceway.

Murphy was taken out in a heavy crash on the first corner of yesterday's opening race.

The team worked through the night to make major repairs to the car.

They straightened the chassis and have rebuilt the front half of the car including a new front end and replacement engine.

Murphy will start at the rear of the grid for the reverse grid race.
