A rain shower helped New Zealand's Greg Murphy secure pole position for Sunday's Bathurst 1000 V8 Supercar endurance race.
Murphy clocked a two minute 08.8009 second lap in the top ten shootout to take top spot on Saturday.
Rain arrived just as Holden star Jamie Whincup (2:26.6012) was heading out for his run on the 6.2km Mount Panorama circuit.
It's the second time the four-time Bathurst winner has held pole position at the iconic track after his "lap of the gods'' in 2003.
Ford's Will Davison was another big winner, only getting his spot in the shootout after Holden's Lee Holdsworth was docked with a five position penalty overnight, and clocking a 2:08.8821 to snare second spot on the grid.
