Kiwi driver Mitch Evans made a good recovery from a qualifying error to finish seventh at the Santiago ePrix on Sunday.
Evans out-braked himself on his qualifying lap flier and was forced to go down the escape road to avoid an accident, which meant he would start the race from the back row of the grid.
The small mistake hurt the 23-year-old even more when he saw Panasonic Jaguar Racing teammate Nelson Piquet Jr narrowly miss out on the super pole.
He made a positive start to the race however, working his way up into the mid pick during his first stint.
Evans set the fastest lap of the race at one point before making a couple of passing moves to finish in the points in a credible seventh.
