Volvo star Scott McLaughlin is determined to finish his time with Garry Rogers Motorsport on a high by winning at his home track - the same venue where he got his breakthrough win with the team in 2013.
McLaughlin became the youngest ever Supercars winner when he collected a race win at Pukekohe Park Raceway in 2013 at just 19 years old.
He has become a regular winner with the team since but agreed to a big money move to DJR Team Penske for 2017.
McLaughlin would love to bag another race win in front of friends and family at Pukekohe but is also vying with Team Vortex's Craig Lowndes for third in the championship - something he'd like to do as a farewell act with the team.
"Garry has been a great boss to me," McLaughlin tells herald.co.nz.
