KEY POINTS:
Despite losing nearly all his team's tools and spares in a truck fire at the beginning of the season, defending NZV8 champion John McIntyre has the title in his grasp.
Heading into the final round at Teretonga, Invercargill, McIntyre has a commanding 115-point lead over Angus Fogg.
It's unlikely McIntyre will stumble as he's been the model of consistency throughout the series. He has won six of the season's 15 races so far, more than any other driver.
He's finished outside the top 10 only once this season, in last weekend's reverse grid race at Timaru.
"When you have the championship on the line, you're not going to throw it away for a higher placing in the reverse grid race," said McIntyre.
Craig Baird looks set to wrap up his third Porsche GT3 Cup series, as he's 151 points ahead of second placed Daniel Gaunt.
The TRS battle has heated up with Earl Bamber grabbing an 11-point lead over series leader Andy Knight.
The manic Mini Challenge is tight at the top with Brent Collins, Rhys McKay and Keeley Pudney all within 43 points of each other.
In Formula Ford Caine Lobb has managed to close in on second placed Andrew Waite who is 96 behind John Whelan.
The Production 4WD class is led by Simon Sceats on 977 points.
