Kiwi Supercars champion Shane van Gisbergen has made his way onto the list of the world's top 50 drivers for 2016.
Renowned motorsport magazine Autosport has ranked the Kiwi 28th on its annual list of the best drivers in the world.
Having won the Bathurst 12 Hour race as well as the Blancpain GT Endurance series van Gisbergen became the first New Zealander since Jim Richards in 1991 to be crowned Supercars champion.
His Red Bull Racing teammate Jamie Whincup just snuck onto the list in 49th spot.
New Zealander Brendon Hartley was named the 23rd best driver after piloting his 919 Porsche Hybrid in the World Endurance Series with former Formula 1 driver Mark Webber and Germany's Timo Bernhard.
