KEY POINTS:
Sebastien Loeb will not be competing at Rally New Zealand in the Waikato next weekend.
Loeb has pulled out of the competitive side of the event due to a broken arm, which has also kept him out of the Turkish and Australian Rallies.
Rally New Zealand General Manager Paul Mallard admits the fact Loeb has already wrapped up the overall title did not help. Mallard says certainly if the championship had still been on the line, he'd have been more keen to come and collect points.
Paul Mallard says Loeb will still attend the event and complete the reconnaissance section as research for next year's event.
