New Zealand driver Brendon Hartley recorded a pair of sixth placings in the opening races of the Renault 3.5 World Series in Spain over the weekend.
"Qualifying did not go well," he admitted.
"On Saturday I got stuck in traffic for three or four laps and then the session was cut short; and in the Sunday session I struggled with no front end grip and got bumped down the field."
Hartley's fellow Red Bull development team driver, and Tech 1 teammate, Daniel Ricciardo finished the weekend as overall series leader.
The Australian took third in Saturday's first race and followed that up with a second in yesterday's race behind Estonian Sten Pentus, who ran third in the New Zealand Grand Prix in February.
