Motorsport: Hamlin takes closest ever Daytona 500

Blink and you'll miss it. Monday's Daytona 500 had the closest finish in NASCAR history, being won by a 0.010 second margin.

The sight left spectators in awe as racers Denny Hamlin and Martin Treux Jr. raced neck-and-neck on the final bend before Hamlin edged ahead.

"I can't even figure out how that happened or what I did, but it worked out," Hamlin said after the race.

The winner held fourth place throughout the final lap before nudging a teammate out of first and making the now historic dash for the finish line.
