KEY POINTS:
Greg Murphy
I'd have to say my money's on Greg Murphy to take the round win in 2008. He appears to be quite a happy bunny at the moment and Tasman Motorsport gave him a new car. Until recently Murphy owned the New Zealand round of the V8 Supercars and a Holden is yet to be beaten on Kiwi soil.
James Courtney
The two-time world karting champion is generally regarded as the fastest peddler out there but needs to stay out of trouble and on the tarmac to prove he's as good as the flashes he's shown. Team owners Ross and Jimmy missed out winning at Pukekohe so they'll be doubly desperate to grab a round win at Hamilton
Mark Skaife
Has five championship trophies on his mantlepiece and shouldn't be ruled out. Experience counts for a lot when tackling a new circuit, especially a street course. Been steady so far this year and could be due for a win. Also one of the few drivers to have won in New Zealand in the V8 Supercars and he's in a Holden.
Garth Tander
Now the team has fixed the suspension problem the defending champion can concentrate on driving rather than being worried his car might go left rather than right. Wasunbeatable at the non-points scoring round at the AGP with three wins. He has the pedigree to defend his title but needs points this weekend.
Jamie Whincup
He's more interested in winning rounds than taking the long view and picking up points. Proved he can be quick and currently sits at the top of the table. Could be the driver to break the Ford drought and bring the blue oval the much desired round win. But only if he stays on the straight and narrow. Appears to be unfazed if it's a wet race weekend.
