He may have had his worst ever V8 Supercar championship finish, but New Zealand driver Greg Murphy is steadfast in his determination to bounce back next year.
Murphy has finished the championship in 11th place, after finishing fourth in the final round at Phillip Island which included second in the last race of the weekend.
Murphy says despite a good last race, there are plenty of things to work on ahead of next year and he will be sticking with V8 Supercars as he has several goals still to achieve within the championship.
He says they have been fast at some stages this year, but not throughout.
Murphy will have about six weeks off, before working on better consistency and speed for next season, which are the two areas where the team fell short this time around.
Meanwhile Team Kiwi driver Paul Radisich has finished in 14th spot overall.
Ford driver Russell Ingall has finally put years of heartache behind him by winning his first-ever V8 Supercar Championship, after being runner-up four times.
The Enforcer's fifth place in the final round has secured him the title at his tenth attempt.
