Vanquished Will Davison has vowed to use his V8 Supercar disappointment to spearhead his and Holden's assault on Jamie Whincup's championship next year.
Davison's title chase fell apart when he crashed out in Perth on Sunday, effectively handing the V8 championship to Ford star Whincup.
With a 281-point lead in the standings over Davison, Whincup just has to finish one of the season's two remaining races in Sydney in a fortnight to claim back-to-back V8 titles.
