Ford driver Fabian Coulthard already has a surfboard but he's promising to get lessons should he collect another one this weekend at the Gold Coast 600.
The race winners are awarded miniature surfboards as trophies at the iconic street race.
The New Zealander found himself on the podium on the holiday strip whilst with Brad Jones Racing but he returns there this year having made the move to DJR Team Penske.
"The car is going to be totally different compared to the car I drove last year, which was pretty tough here," the 34-year-old told Radio Sport. "It didn't respond very well to curbs and things like that.
"Hopefully this year it will. We have been to places like Adelaide and we had reasonable success at Sandown they are both tracks where you really have to use the curbs.
"Gold Coast is pretty much curb city - you need a car that can respond over those and do everything it is supposed to.
