The controversial running order used in the World Rally Championship that has angered world champion Sebastien Ogier will be scrapped next year.
Ogier has been very vocal in criticism of the system used this year and has even threatened to quit the sport if plans to use it next year and beyond were rubber stamped.
The system sees the championship leader go first on the road on both the Friday and Saturday legs of the event before rally classification determines the order on the Sunday.
The WRC Commission has agreed to use championship order as the road order on Fridays but will run reverse rally classification for the next two days.
Ogier is currently without a drive for next year after Volkswagen surprisingly withdrew from the sport earlier in the week.
