Kiwis Brendon Hartley and Earl Bamber have won the World Endurance Championship along with their factory Porsche teammate Timo Bernhard.
The trio finished the Shanghai leg of the championship in second place, which was enough to guarantee the team of the drivers' title and the manufacturers' title with one round remaining.
It caps an amazing year for the LMP1 outfit, who claimed the Le Mans 24 Hours race earlier in the year as well, while Hartley has gone on to make his Formula 1 debut in recent weeks.
The Toyota of Kazuki Nakajima, Sebastien Buemi and Anthony Davidson took the chequered flag in Shanghai while an incident involving the sister TS050 Hybrid of Mike Conway, Kamui Kobayashi and Jose Maria Lopez with half an hour left in the race forced that Toyota to the pits and eliminated any chance the Japanese team had of preventing Porsche from winning both the manufacturer's title and the drivers' title.
Hartley now heads to Brazil where he will compete in the penultimate round of the Formula One season.
