V8 Supercars' charm offensive in the United States has gained further traction with motor racing's leading dedicated television channel to broadcast the Bathurst 1000 live into North America.
Cable network Speed will send its No.1 commentary team, headed by former NASCAR star Darrell Waltrip, to call the race at Mount Panorama on October 9.
Speed, which reaches more than 80 million homes, will also broadcast the Gold Coast 600 live across the United States and Canada later that month.
It follows V8 Supercars' decision to hold a race in Austin, Texas, from 2013.
