Kiwi motorsport driver Craig Baird is hoping his calm head will make a difference when he swaps his GT for a V8 this weekend.
Baird will line up as a co-driver alongside Dave Reynolds to compete for the Enduro Cup over the next three rounds of the V8 Supercar season starting at Sandown.
With a lot of young drivers joining teams for the endurance legs Baird says his experience could prove to be a big advantage.
He says some drivers may treat the races as a job interview of sorts instead of backing their lead driver which is when things can come unstuck for teams.
The big favourites to claim the cup are Triple Eight Racing which includes Craig Lowndes, Jamie Whincup and Kiwi Shane van Gisbergen.
