Kiwi racer Marcus Armstrong has taken the lead of the German Formula 4 Championship after a strong weekend at Sachsenring.
The teenager claimed a third, a second and a sixth-place finish in the three races over the weekend to move to the top of the standings with the final round of the series to be held next weekend at Hockenheim.
Armstrong leads his nearest rival Felipe Drugovich by 21.5 points.
"It's great to be in front," said the Toyota Racing Series racer. "I'm very pleased."
Armstrong said a technical issue in Q2 halted his progress and he was forced to start races two and three further back.
"Race three we made the right call on tyres which helped immensely, I got some very good speed as the track improved.
