Motorsport: Another new venue for V8 Supercars

The V8 Supercar Championship will spread its wings a little further next year.

After the success of this year's inaugural race in Shanghai, organisers have decided to add Bahrain to the schedule for November 2006.

The race will be staged on the Bahrain International Circuit.

AVESCO has signed a five year deal to stage a round in Bahrain, starting in November 2006.

The Championship made its debut in China this year, which was the first time it has held a race outside Australia and New Zealand.
