New Zealand's slim chances of overhauling Switzerland to win the A1 grand prix series nosedived after qualifying for the 10th and final round at Brands Hatch in England yesterday.
Driver Jonny Reid managed to qualify only in 10th place for the sprint race and 17th place for the feature race early today. He needs to win both races to have any chance of overhauling Switzerland.
The likelihood of that happening appears more remote than ever, after the Swiss qualified third for both the sprint and feature races.
