In a Nippon Professional League baseball game between the Yokohama BayStars and Hiroshima Carp two nights ago, the crowd witnessed an absolutely spectacular catch.
Yokohama's Shuichi Murata nailed a shot to centre field that looked destined to go over the wall.
But centre fielder Masato Akamatsu had other ideas.

The Carp's home, Hiroshima Municipal Stadium, is silent today, in contrast to the mayhem on Tuesday night after Akamatsu's catch.
The stadium is closed every year on August 6 out of respect for the victims of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945. The baseball team always plays in other stadiums, even if a home game is scheduled for that day.
