The voice of IRONMAN and the legend of New Zealand Ironman are getting up close and personal in Auckland.

As the Voice of IRONMAN, Mike Reilly is excited to be able to spend time with aspiring Kiwi athletesand is hoping to inspire a few more to make the start line (and have the chance to ask questions before they cross the finish line to his voice). Endurance Sports such as Ironman are continuing to get more people off the couch to chase their dreams, live out their weekend warrior ambitions or become converted lifestyle athletesand many started that journey with someone planting the seed " Could you complete an Ironman?"
Mike will be telling special stories and finishes of some athletes hes come across over the years including the very first time he announced someone in with "You Are An Ironman"
US based Mike Reilly is renowned as the voice of IRONMAN and endurance events all over the world and is teaming up with New Zealands IRONMAN legend Cameron
Inspiration and Endurance events are Mike Reillys life! He has worked as an on-site announcer and TV host for Triathlon, Running, and Cycling events worldwide since the late 70s. This has placed a microphone in his hands at over 1200 endurance events around the globe.
He is best known as the "Voice of Ironman" and this October will be his 30th calling of the Ironman World Championship in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. IRONMAN NEW ZEALAND on March 3 will be his 171st Ironman he has worked on and his 17th year in Taupo. Since 1989 over 300,000 triathletes have heard his famous and heartwarming phrase "YOU ARE AN IRONMAN!"
Mike will be sharing some of his inspirational stories from the Worlds most famous finish lines, he is currently writing a book titled FINDING YOUR FINISH LINE.
Cameron Brown, an Auckland local; will be the cohost adding his own stories and correcting any errant Kiwi facts.
Cameron Brown is arguably one of New Zealands most enduring and inspirational leading sportsperson - and this March lines up to take on IRONMAN NZ number 21. of which he has won 12 times and podiumed 17!). Cameron still races around the world, but these days also shares his training around the streets, hills and beaches of Auckland with inspiring the next generation of athletes including his own two sons. (both of whom are excelling in the Junior ranks of their chosen sports)
