Match fixing allegations have rocked Bowls New Zealand.
The New Zealand men's four of Gary Lawson, Shayne Sincock, Jamie Hill and Shannon McIlroy have been stood down following allegations the team was involved in match fixing at the Asia/Pacific Championships last month.
Bowls New Zealand chief executive Kerry Clark says two complaints have been lodged. He says there has been a complaint from one of the other sides competing at the event and also a complaint by World Bowls.
Clark says a judiciary will now hear the opinions of both sides. He says nothing has been proven yet and it is up to the judiciary to reach a decision based on the evidence available.
Clark says Bowls New Zealand is treating the matter very seriously. He says it is a big concern as a situation like this leaves a black mark against the country.
The judicial hearing is likely to take place in the next couple of weeks.
