Further proof that every sports team needs a mascot.
Albert the Alligator, official mascot for the University of Florida, used some heads-up baseball to save a young fan from being struck by a foul ball.
Albert played the hero during Florida's clash over North Florida yesterday. With a foul ball looking to land near a young bog, Albert put his outfit on the line and took a blow to the head.
Florida went onto win the SEC encounter 2-1 for their 25th win of the season.
