New Zealander Kim Smith eased into her countdown to the New York marathon early next month with a well-paced half-marathon win in a Connecticut, half-marathon in 1h 11m 37s, setting a race record in the process.
The previous best for the distance was nearly four minutes slower, set eight years ago by Jackline Totori.
