A 27-year-old diver has shared his brutal shark attack wounds on Instagram, just moments after the encounter occurred.
Braxton Rocha was bitten on his left leg by a 13-foot-long tiger shark on Sunday afternoon before swimming back to shore off the northern tip of the Big Island and calling for help.
The 27-year-old was taken by ambulance to Kamehameha Park before being flown by helicopter to North Hawaii Hospital for surgery, where he documented his journey as he was being loaded onto a stretcher into the ambulance.
"WOO, I just got attacked by a tiger shark!" Rocha says in a short vine posted to Instagram, where he pans down to his left leg, revealing a large chunk of his flesh missing from his left thigh.
