Hareb was the first out on the surf today and dominated her heat with a score of 10.50, finishing ahead of Coco Ho (7.77) and Lakey Peterson (7.20).
Williams, a New Zealand Herald Future Star, finished third in her heat with a score of 7.00, finishing behind two-time world champion Carissa Moore (13.16) and Alessa Quizon (11.26).
