New Zealand were beaten 26-1 by Japan in a women' lacrosse World Cup match in the United States yesterday.
Japanese player Akiko Wada had six goals and three assists as Japan outclassed New Zealand in a pool B game at the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis, in Maryland.
It was New Zealand's second loss in as many matches.
