New Zealand triathletes will compete at next month's world championship series race in Japan despite concerns after last month's devastating earthquake and tsunami.
The race on May 14-15 is in Yokohama, 300km south of the crippled Fukushima nuclear reactor where millions of litres of radioactive water have leaked into the ocean.
The event starts with a 1.5km swim in Yokohama Harbour to start the race and is a qualifying event for next year's London Olympics.
