New Zealand swimmer Matthew Stanley has collected a bronze medal from last year's world short-course championships after Denmark's Mads Glaesner failed a drug test.
The Danish swimming federation said Glaesner received a three-month suspension after testing positive for Levmetamfetamine, a product used in nasal decongestants, after winning bronze in the 400m freestyle at the world championships in Istanbul in December.
Stanley finished fourth, less than a second behind Glaesner.
Federation spokeswoman Nora Thomsen said the ban was imposed on March 19 and Glaesner will be eligible to compete again later this week.
Glaesner will lose the bronze and the gold he won in the 1500m freestyle two days later in Istanbul.
