New Zealand's participation at the world darts championships has been shortlived.
Mark "Cowboy" McGrath has been beaten four legs to nil by American Scott Kirchner in his preliminary match at the Alexandra Palace in London.
Kirchner will now face world number four Gary Anderson in the first round.
