There is a chance kayaker Ben Fouhy may have to drop the event that took him to a silver medal at the Athens Olympics.
Fouhy won silver in the K1 1000, but due to a change in the television schedule at the world championships in August, there is only 20 minutes between the K1 and K2 1000 metre races.
In Athens there was a 40 minute gap between the events and while Fouhy will see how it goes this year, he may have to decide between the two.
Fouhy says the K2 1000 has been going well with Steven Ferguson.
They picked up their first international medal in May - a bronze in Poland - and he is confident about their world championship chances.
Overall, Fouhy says his preparation for the world championships is going well.
His training is still focussed on distance work and they are only just beginning to look at race specific exercises.
