Canterburys Katelyn Inch will join Ali Forsyth and Shannon McIlroy in the TOWER Blackjacks at this months A$100 000 Bowls Premiere League. To be played at Queensland Club Pine Rivers, Inch replaces Jo Edwards who due to personal reasons, has had to withdraw.
The TOWER Blackjacks are the reigning champions so will be looking to topple the seven Australian sides to become the first team to win the title twice.
In replacing Edwards at such a big event, one that is also beginning to change the face of bowls, Inch said she "was extremely excited about the opportunity but also incredibly nervous. Being asked to replace Jo is something you think will never happen - she is such an icon of the game. So when added to this being a team event and Ali and Shannon being top world class players, I dont want to let them down either. Ill somehow just have to forget about this and all the other outside influences that come with this format of the game and concentrate on bringing my A game. If I do that I know Ill be fine - Cant wait" she added.
The BPL runs from 8 - 11 November with Sky TV showing all games live from 8pm each night.
