The Presidents Cup, first awarded in 1997 for the Presidents Cup Regatta in Denarau, Fiji, will this year be presented by the President of Fiji to the line honours winner of the 2010 Auckland to Fiji Ocean Race.
A fleet of over 20 yachts is expected to take part in the race, which will be sailed in two classes.
The Corinthian class will leave Auckland on May 19, followed by the race yachts, three days later on May 22. The two fleets are expected to finish about the same time, beginning on May 26.
The first Auckland to Fiji race was held in 1956, finishing in Suva. This year's event will finish in Denerau where the fleet will all be moored on the one pontoon in the Denarau marina.
