KEY POINTS:
Next Saturday sees the 10th Annual Parade of Boats on Lake Rotoiti. They are all wooden and the organisers say it is the biggest gathering of inland waterway boats New Zealand has ever seen with more than 60 taking part. The boats assemble in the Okere arm of Lake Rotoiti alongside SH 33. After a 10am cannon shot the parade will be led by an Arawa waka across Okawa Bay. See link below for more details online.

Long a fixture of Queen's Birthday Weekend, the Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat show is moving back. The four-day show will now run from Thursday May 17 to Sunday, May 20.
Water-Watch
* The semi-finals today, the final tomorrow of the Auckland Match-Racing Cup are a fitting prelude to the Anniversary Regatta on Monday. There is a grandstand at the Harbour Bridge end of Westhaven to allow the public to watch the racing.

* Tomorrow: Classic Yacht Race, Mahurangi to Auckland (Classic YA); Women Skippers' Race and BBQ (Panmure Y& BC)
* Monday: Auckland Anniversary Regatta, including the Classic Parade of Sail, the Harbour Blast, the Power Parade of tugs and workboats off North Head then back up the Harbour Bridge plus special action to mark the Anniversary at most clubs.
