Rayglass Boats is about to release the new Legend 2800, a complete stem-to-stern makeover of the Legend 850. The 850 proved the most awarded model in the company's range and the 2800 design was completed after extensive input from existing 850 owners. The new legend will be released at the Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat Show from May 17 to 20.

Some big names have been signed on as keynote speakers at the 2007 Marine Industry Association conference at the Hilton Hotel in Auckland on March 19 and 20. Theme of the conference is Manufacturing, Management and Marketing. Speakers are Slingshot CEO Annette Presley, motor yacht sales whiz Peter Jenkins, Thom Dammrich - who will talk about the state of the international boating market, Glidepath founder Ken Stevens and business commentator Rod Oram.

One of the main events this weekend is the National Women's Keelboat Championship being sailed out of Royal Akarana Yacht Club. Other action includes:
