This year the NZ Maritime Restoration School and the Paihia Haven of History Trust have joined forces to build on the success of the Marlinspike Seamanship Trophy sailed in 2005 and 2006. The weekend of November 2, 3 and 4 will see a re-enactment of the landing of missionaries Henry Williams and William Fairburn. An art auction and a black tie dinner before the Marlinspike is sailed off Paihia on the Sunday. First speakers sign for Yacht Vision 08
The organisers of the Yacht Vision symposium being held in Auckland from March 5 to 9 next year have confirmed two of the guest speakers. Jan-Eric Osterlund, the original owner of the ketch Adele, who has spent the past two years sailing some of the world's most enchanting waters, will talk about his voyages and emphasise just why our oceans are worth saving. ENL confirmed as NZ Lowrance distributor
Electronic Navigation Limited has been re-appointed New Zealand distributor for Lowrance electronics following the sale of Lowrance to Navico Ltd.
