IndyCar superstar Scott Dixon roared back into New Zealand this week to celebrate a new golden era of Kiwi motorsport.
Indianapolis-based Dixon and his glamorous wife Emma Davies joined a glittering gathering at the Legends of Speed event at Auckland's Vector Arena last night (Friday).
The gala dinner was to celebrate the success the current crop of stars are having on the world stage.
The Dixons joined big names like Hayden Paddon, Richie Stanaway, Brendon Hartley, Earl Bamber and Shane van Gisbergen to raise money for the Elite Academy of Motorsport as well as helping fund the attempt to get Rally New Zealand back on the World Rally Championship calendar from 2018.
International stars such as Alister Mcrae and Stefan Johansson also attended the Legends of Speed dinner, as did Prime Minister John Key.
