Sri Lankan interim cricket coach Nic Pothas as compared the Indian team to the All Blacks after his side lost nine straight games to the tourists across three different formats.
India completed the tour sweep with victory in the sole Twenty20 clash yesterday following a 3-0 test series win and a 5-0 result in the ODIs.
"You look at their team and they are very All Black-like," former South African international Pothas said.
"There's a lot of respect for the facilities and there's a lot of respect for the opposition. They are very ruthless in the way they go about their work. Their work ethic is immense. They are what a lot of teams aspire to be. The most important thing for us is learning from our mistakes, but most importantly: learning from them."
India thrashed Sri Lanka in the test series, winning two matches by an innings and were rarely tested in the five-match ODI series.
